Orange Bench Vise

The Orange Bench Vise is CNC-machined billet aluminum workholding, built for precision clamping where accuracy matters. We're an authorized ZED0 dealer for Orange Vise Company, and keep it in the lineup because it's the vise we use ourselves in the shop.

Key features

• CNC-machined billet aluminum construction
• Mounts on multiple bases around the shop; swivel base plate included
• Jaws are replaceable, both the stock aluminum dovetail jaws and our own ZED0 soft jaws
• High clamping force (see below) with precise, repeatable alignment

It isn't built for metalworking or anvil duty. If your job calls for precision jaws form-fit to the part, with pressure you can dial in gradually instead of crushing or scratching it, this is the vise. Pair it with our Engineering Grade Carbon Fiber Polyamide soft jaws when you need to clamp something delicate.

Clamping force

Clamping force scales linearly with handle position after the workpiece is gripped:

• 1/8 turn: 750 lbs
• 1/4 turn: 1500 lbs
• 3/8 turn: 2250 lbs
• 1/2 turn: 3000 lbs (max)

Max force is set by the axial load rating of the ball thrust bearing.
